Been trying to work company for over 3 months right now. We keep getting pushed back for either pictures of our trailer or some random reason. No one answers the phone. No one calls you back. They respond to their email weeks later. Very very hard company to work with. Unfortunately some big companies or customers trust this company and they have some of the best loads on central dispatch. That is the reason why they're still in business but they treat carriers very poorly
This is one of the biggest companies in the industry for car haulers. However, Acertus (Metrogistics) was not able to create an app that is convenient for carriers. Besides, they ask to use the app and if the driver makes small mistake then some unprofessional agents from compliance will start to email and threaten you with blocking you account. Acertus has to update their app before forcing it to use.
UPDATE: I received a call back from Acertus, where their representative stated to me that the VIN has been within their system since January (2022). This representative told me that the dealership needed to contact Acertus directly, to tell them to deliver the new vehicle (Although the VIN is clearly in their system and they were contracted to deliver it), that it has been parked at their lot for weeks AND would not be transported until the direct contact from dealership. I contacted the dealership and they contacted Acertus directly. Acertus (to the dealer representative) had stated that the vehicle was not yet scheduled on a truck, and also claimed that their representative "would never say (above) to a customer". I believe this is absolutely ridiculous that they have not and would not transport our car, although they are contracted by the dealership to DELIVER CARS. If the entire point of your contract with a dealership is to deliver vehicles, why wouldn't you transport the vehicles to their delivery destination (or require the dealership to contact you every time they need a vehicle delivered)?
ORIGINAL: MetroGistics an Acertus Company is contracted to deliver our ordered new vehicle to dealership for us to pick up. Our order delivery window was April 9-15th (2022). As of today, May 2nd, our car has been left in a port lot for at least two weeks and our delivery is left to the HOPE that a driver will pick our car to load onto their truck for delivering to dealership. We have no way to retrieve our ordered vehicle, other than wait for this contracted carrier to have one of their trucks deliver. I would personally drive to wherever this local lot is located to pick up our vehicle if I was allowed. The dealership has zero control over what vehicles are delivered, or on what date they are delivered. I would not be surprised the slightest to hear that many others are currently waiting for their vehicles either, since our car wasn't the only one sitting there, waiting for trucks to pick them up and deliver. No wonder why the car market is such a terrible experience, since dealerships can't even get subcontracted companies such as this one to deliver their cars!
Purchased a vehicle out of a dealership in Alabama and had it shipped to Michigan via Acertus. Not only were the lines of communication clear and frequently used in order to keep me well updated, but the car also arrived in pristine condition by the most friendly and accommodating driver. I could not have had a better experience and would gladly use their services again.
I use this company for transportation all over the country. They have very good pricing and they ALWAYS deliver on time usually ahead of the date. I usually speak with Nathan and he is great. Always keeping me updated on when my vehicles will arrive. 5 stars!
This has been by far the worst shipping experience I've ever had and it's not even over. It's been over 2 weeks and they still haven't even picked up my new car from the deaership! Communication has been sparse if at all, and I have been given no timeline as to when I can even expect the car to be picked up. I was doing a trade in with separate shipping for my current car and the new car, and the carrier for my current car showed up completely unannounced. I had to call ACERTUS to even verify it was through them. Now I'm left down a car for 3 days (so far) and still no word on if my new one will even get picked up before the weekend.
I work for a luxury dealership, and handle all of the inventory here. We are always transporting cars all over the country for our customers and John from Acertus is always my first phone call! He helps me with a quote right away and sets up transportation immediately after I send him all the details. Any time I need an update or just a question on the status, he gets back to me right away. I have used plenty of transport companies before, but they are definitely the easiest and most convenient to work with!! Make sure you call them for all of your transport needs!!
This company transported an elderly relative's vehicle from the east coast to my local dealership. I hired them thru my local dealer, and I got a good price, compared to the other quotes I was getting. I also was impressed with how quickly the vehicle arrived - it took less than 2 weeks to get the car. Considering it was in a remote part of Virginia, that's quick. MUCH better than flying there and driving it back myself - well worth the investment.
